Brock Corder

Chief Executive Officer & Owner

With nearly 20 years of professional experience — and even more if you count his childhood — Brock Corder grew up on job sites. He was laying sod, cleaning up scrap wood, and doing whatever odd jobs his dad or the crew would let him tackle, long before he was old enough to be there. In 2005, after a stint in commercial development, he came back home to Tuscaloosa to join TBG and hasn’t looked back. Today, he serves as the company’s CEO and one of its owners.

What fuels him most is the impact — the moment a homeowner steps into their finished house for the first time, especially when it’s their very first home. He knows the weight of that milestone, and it’s what keeps him invested, build after build.

Brock leads with both grit and care. He’s deeply committed to creating a culture where people can thrive — mentoring team members, challenging them to grow, and celebrating their wins along the way. He believes that when you pour into people, the quality of the work naturally follows. His leadership is hands-on, humble, and built on the same values that shaped his earliest days in the field.

His advice is simple: your first home doesn’t have to be your forever home. Build for the life you’re living now — not for some far-off version of the future. That mindset continues to shape how TBG approaches design, planning, and relationships.

Of all the stages in the process, framing is where Brock feels most at home. He loves seeing a house rise from paper plans to physical form — fast, tangible, and deeply satisfying. Each year, he still carves out time to swing a hammer on Habitat for Humanity builds. His favorite place in a home is the back porch — a quiet spot to recharge, reflect, and step out of the day-to-day.

Brock’s work ethic is best summed up in three words: driven, resilient, and stubborn. A quote pinned above his desk — “Never, never, never give up” — has quietly shaped how he leads through challenges and growth.

Off the clock, you’ll find him outdoors with his kids, whether they’re hunting, fishing, or just spending unhurried time together. He’s known for being focused and intense — but if you ask the people who know him best, they’ll tell you: he’s really just a softie at heart.
