Lynn Corder is one of the founding members of The Builders Group and a cornerstone of Alabama’s homebuilding industry. With more than three decades of experience, Lynn has built more than homes—he’s built lasting relationships, local neighborhoods, and a legacy of leadership in the state of Alabama. His deep knowledge of residential construction, land development, and regulatory affairs has made him one of the most respected names in the field.
A lifelong Tuscaloosa resident, Lynn has served in nearly every leadership capacity within the Home Builders Association at both the local and state level. He was President of the Home Builders Association of Tuscaloosa in 2005 and led the Home Builders Association of Alabama as its state President in 2015—one of many roles he’s held during decades of service. His resume includes chairing the Governmental Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Land Developers Council, and he remains a trusted voice in advocacy and policy on behalf of builders and homeowners alike.
Within The Builders Group, Lynn is known for his unwavering integrity, institutional knowledge, and calm presence in high-stakes situations. His favorite part of the homebuilding process is development—turning raw land into thriving communities that stand the test of time. Whether he’s mentoring new team members or offering insight into long-range growth strategies, he brings a steady hand and forward-thinking perspective. His work ethic can be summed up in three words: grounded, visionary, dependable.
Lynn’s advice to new homebuyers? “Do your research, trust your builder, and plan for how you’ll live in your home—not just how it looks on paper.” His favorite part of the home? The front porch—where neighbors gather, stories are shared, and community is built one conversation at a time.
When he’s not shaping the future of TBG or representing Alabama’s builders on advisory boards like the Alabama Center for Real Estate, you’ll find him cheering on the Crimson Tide, spending time with family, or catching up on a biography or historical nonfiction. Lynn’s legacy isn’t just in the homes he’s helped build—it’s in the people, places, and policies he’s helped shape for the better.
