Lee Williams
Partner | President
With 17 years in the building industry, Lee Williams got his start in framing not long after graduating from Auburn. He joined TBG in 2007 and has grown with the company ever since, eventually becoming its president and one of its owners. Today, Lee is known for his sharp thinking, steady leadership, and ability to navigate not just the technical side of building — but the human side, too.
At his core, Lee is a problem-solver. He believes that while homes are built from materials and measurements, the process is ultimately about people—how they live, how they decide, and what matters most to them along the way.
As president, he’s not just making high-level decisions—he’s deeply involved in mentoring team members, refining processes, and creating an environment where people can do their best work. His leadership style is rooted in trust, accountability, and a long-game mindset.
His favorite part of the process? The beginning. Lee loves starting from scratch with a homeowner who has a big idea and a blank slate. Helping someone shape a vision into a plan—and then watching it come to life—is where his creativity thrives.
When it comes to advice for homeowners, Lee keeps it practical: if you’re torn on a feature you love, break the cost down by day over the years you’ll live there. You might find it’s a small investment for something you’ll enjoy every single day.
Lee’s favorite space in a home is the back porch. For him, it’s a quiet extension of the living space—somewhere to slow down, breathe, and reflect. It’s a simple area, but it carries weight.
He describes his work ethic in three words: obsessive, driven, and intentional. Off the clock, you’ll find him playing guitar, fishing, or spending time outdoors. He drinks his coffee hot and black, used to compete in professional foosball, and while he’ll tell you he’s not naturally a people person, those who know him best say his greatest strength is understanding how people think.
