Yes. We ask that you own the property before we start building, however that does not stop our team from going through the design process while you close on your property.

Yes! We have several available now. We have homes available in North Alabama as well as Central Alabama.

We primarily build in Central Alabama and North Alabama but reach out to see if your lot is within our service area.

Timelines vary depending on lot prep and design choices but typically range from 6–8 months once construction begins. If we can get you in before then, we will try to move the closing date up!

Absolutely! We currently have two beautifully furnished model homes located in Athens—one in Watercress Preserve and another in The Links at Southern Gayles near the golf course. 

Price per square foot can vary depending on location, community, and the selections you choose. For example, the same floor plan may be priced differently across our communities due to lot size, included features, and available upgrades. Because of these variables, we don’t provide a universal price per square foot—but we’d love to learn more about what you’re looking for and guide you to the best options within your budget.

We offer two distinct build paths:

• Signature Series: Thoughtfully designed plans with proven layouts, created for efficiency, speed, and value. Modifications are limited to available structural and design options.
• Premium Design Track: Offers more flexibility with customizations, allowing you to modify an existing plan or bring your own. This path is perfect if you’re looking for a personalized home and are comfortable with a longer timeline and additional cost.

If construction hasn’t progressed too far, yes! Depending on what stage the home is in, you may be able to select finishes or make upgrades. If you’re building from the ground up, you’ll have a full design appointment to choose everything from flooring to countertops.

Yes, you’ll work with our in-house design team at our design studio to make all your selections, from cabinets and flooring to lighting and tile.

Most customers are the happiest with their first selections. However, we are aware everyone gets new ideas. If you need to change a selection, we will walk you through our change order process.

Our typical build timeline is 6–8 months, depending on the community, plan, and weather. If construction moves faster than expected, we’ll work with you on closing early.

Yes! We schedule three key walkthroughs:

1. Electrical walkthrough
   
2. Cabinet walkthrough
   
3. Final “punch walk” – where you help identify anything needing adjustment before move-in

Definitely! We not only have a team member dedicated to you every step of the build process, but we also have an amazing client portal that allows you to track the schedule and see weekly pictures. Not to mention, anytime you have a question, you can write it on that software, and it is sent to every single member on the team.

We have been in business since 2001, and we have formed relationships with particular subcontractors built on trust, reliability, and quality. While you can use your own vendor, we highly recommend using our trusted subcontractors to ensure a superior home building experience.

Yes, upgrades are processed through a formal change order. These costs are paid upfront within 30 days and must be approved in writing so our team can implement the changes.

Absolutely! We thrive on customers who know exactly what they want, and we strive to deliver a product that is exactly what you want! We ask that you come prepared with information such as:

• Acreage of the land requesting to be built on
• Idea of the amount of sitework needed
• If utilities need to be installed or if utilities are already installed
• Is your property on city sewer or septic

For Build on Your Lot projects, homeowners are responsible for securing their own financing. This is usually done through a construction loan with your preferred lender or through cash financing with draws issued during the build. We’ll provide your lender with the necessary documents and a draw schedule, and we’ll work directly with them to keep everything moving smoothly.
